Day School

Ranges $2200 to $4350

Our Day School Program is one of our most popular training programs!

The program is highly recommended for owners looking to achieve significant progress in a short amount of time, whether those goals are to improve their dog’s lifestyle and overall obedience, or to get a handle on more serious behavioral challenges.

  • Mon to Thu, your dog “goes to school” (all day) and works with our team of professional trainers. Your dog’s training progress benefits from receiving consistent training, directly from a professional.

  • At the end of each week you will have a 1-on-1 Owner Session to go over the training covered that week to ensure you are up to speed. Your dog will be making demonstrable progress, and you need to keep up! These sessions are not merely to show you what your dog has learned, but to teach you how to effectively communicate and partner with your dog so that you can achieve success together.

Day School FAQs

  • The program has general fundamentals and reliability under distractions is always emphasized. However, every dog’s training is tailored based on their individual starting point / goals / etc.

We strive to fit you with the appropriate length program, and it is important that your inquiry is detailed and specific.

There is a training questionnaire in advance of starting where you’d expand on your specific priorities.

  • Monday through Thursday, AM dropoff is between 7 to 9 am, and PM pickup is between 4 to 6:30 pm.

  • It is preferred and beneficial for the weeks to be consecutive to have momentum as a tailwind.

We’re looking to create change and build habits!

  • Prior to your first lesson, relax and let the training team get things off to a strong start.

After your first Owner Session, your homework from that point forward is simply to incorporate the teachings into your regular, everyday life routine.

Think of it like living an overall healthier lifestyle where you integrate better habits into your routines, instead of “I have to go to the gym for an hour.”

  • We encourage all pet-parents to participate together in lessons to maximize our lesson time together. We want all involved to be on the same page, ask questions, learn the skills, and be a part of the journey!

  • Owners play the most critical role to long term outcomes. The weekly Owner Sessions are a critical component of the program to equip you with the skills to provide the guidance and direction to your dog in various situations. This will ensure that your dog also takes guidance and direction from you, and not just the Trainers.

Appointments are offered on weekday evenings and weekends to ensure a variety of options to suit varying schedules, and our appointment system makes it convenient to reschedule if a conflict arises.

Our amazing clients include ER docs and nurses, first responders, teachers, busy families, and professionals who travel for work — with planning and communication, we should be able to find something that works!

  • The days are variable, and your dog’s activity will be tailored based on their specific training goals. With that said, over the course of the program your dog will spend their time:

    • 1-on-1 time working with a trainer: individual obedience, individual play, walks, etc

    • small group of dogs with a trainer: obedience around other dogs, group walks, etc

    • socialization: with the environment, with other dogs, etc

    • crate/rest time: breaks are important for productive learning

  • Absolutely! Your dog will be exposed to a variety of ages, sizes, and temperaments of dogs — just like the real world.

The team goes about this in an intentional manner, and it is absolutely not an unsupervised, “free-for-all” type environment.

Whether your dog is shy, reactive or a puppy that’s just learning — we can only progress in what we practice.

  • Make sure you complete the items outlined in your enrollment email!

Other than that, come as you are, and your dog should “wear” whatever you’d go for a walk with.

  • Tool recommendations are made based on the unique dog/owner/situation, and your trainer will have the appropriate conversations with you, at the relevant points in your training journey.

For your convenience, we carry most of the tools and provide an educational experience along with the sale of the item.

All tools we carry are industry-leading brands or our own brand that is thoughtfully designed and tested. As a small business we cannot guarantee that we will beat a big-box or online price that is subject to algorithm fluctuations, but we are generally price competitive and in most cases in fact the identical price.

Kind Words

“People stop their cars in the middle of the road to ask me how I trained my girl Yara, a GSP. Every single day, when we go walking (off leash!), other dog owners stop to compliment us. To say that Supreme K9 team has changed our lives and totally transformed our bond is an understatement. We owe them everything for the kind of relationship we have now - based on respect, clarity, and trust. There is a lot of joy and friendship, and very little frustration. It was the total opposite of this!

Before I came to Supreme K9, I trained Yara as a young puppy with another trainer through positive reinforcement only. I came back from walks with tears in my eyes. The pulling was too much to deal with; my wrists hurt. She performed for treats, sure, but the distraction of outside was too much. The only solution I was given is to bring more treats, more chicken, and hotdogs on walks. It didn't work! At some point, I felt a lot of guilt for secretly thinking that maybe getting Yara was a huge mistake and I was just not meant to be a dog owner.

… After 3 DAYS of day school, the result was apparent. Less pulling, less jumping on people, more calm. After a month of day school, my Yara became EVERYTHING I ever wanted in a dog. Independent, secure in herself, not reactive whatsoever, obedient, affectionate, and much more calm…

Thank you [the Supreme K9 team]. We miss you and rep you everywhere we go!”

“We are beyond amazed…! When we first got our english cocker spaniel at 8 weeks, we vowed to be diligent pup parents with training. We did puppy classes, then a private lesson with another trainer… but both fell flat in expectations. Oliver was a leash puller, jumped on everyone he saw, possessive over his parents' bed, unreliable when off leash... but extremely smart and determined…

After a year of this, I decided [this was beyond our skillset]. I spent hours researching local training programs…

Within the first week, Oliver's leash pulling had ceased. He was much more confident on walks and less distracted (and we felt confident on walks!)

We're so grateful to have this team and so proud of how well Oliver is doing. Truly cannot recommend [the Supreme K9 team] enough — can't wait to see what's to come!”

“… I'm nearly speechless! … he started demonstrating leash aggression during walks in the city. It got progressively worse. I tried everything. Books. YouTube videos. I was literally dreading every walk…

The results have been amazing! [We] walked 3 miles to his graduation today and the 3 miles home. I felt equipped to address anything that came up. Nothing did. He did great! We stopped along the way for coffee; sat on a bench and watched the world go by - he wasn't nervous or anxious and neither was I!

I feel like I have my life back.

That may sound dramatic but I genuinely enjoy being out in the world with my dog - and I had stopped doing it!

If you're hesitating - don't! I promise you - you won't regret it!”

“I can’t say enough about Otto and the team at Supreme K9 and what they did for our dog Hank (husky GSD mix). We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for dog training.

We adopted Hank knowing that he had a difficult and traumatic life and there might be some issues to work out... But we were not prepared for the extent of his issues - aggressive and fearful biting me and my partner, reactive to other dogs, resource guarding and separation anxiety.

We wanted to do the right thing and found a trainer right away. We started with a different local training company that I chose because they used “all positive methods” which sounded like a good thing to me at the time. They recommended we put Hank on medicine… after one of our early sessions, they recommended we return Hank to the shelter. Then after one really bad experience… they told us to isolate Hank and informed us that if things didn’t turn around we should consider behavioral euthanasia… Rather than work on his problem’s we began to avoid any situation where Hank could act out. That is when we decided to look for another trainer. It felt like this was Hank’s last option.

We found Supreme K9 and contacted them for help. Right away, the Business Director, Artemis spent well over a half hour on the phone with me discussing our experiences before we were even customers. At that point she was the first person who made us feel hopeful that Hank could be trained, which we were so grateful for. At our consultation Otto informed us that Hank was well within the typical range of behavior that they work with. It was clear that Otto and company really love and care about dogs. He did not shy away when Hank approached him, despite knowing about Hank’s biting history. At that first meeting, Otto even invited us on their pack walk that day - this was so meaningful to us because our previous trainers were afraid to get near Hank and would not let him be around other dogs even after weeks of working with them. We could tell from this first meeting that Supreme K9 had the tools to help Hank. We signed Hank up for the 6 week day school.

Hank loved the program... We saw progress almost immediately. Hank was no longer reactive on walks, he listened to us and became more comfortable in our home. We began to see a whole new side to Hank. When we adopted Hank, most of his behavior was scared and anxious. After a few weeks, Hank’s real personality came out. He is much happier and more playful. My partner and I began to develop a stronger bond with Hank as the program progressed.

In addition to training Hank, Supreme K9 trains the dog’s owners as well. During our weekly sessions we learned how to manage Hank, how to set boundaries with Hank and how to advocate for our dog...

Since Hank’s graduation from Supreme K9 he has a new lease on life. We are comfortable taking him on hikes and having him around people and even other dogs. He is a much happier and confident dog and we are happier and more confident as his owners. If you are thinking about bringing your dog to Supreme K9, just do it. It was the best choice we have made for our dog.”
